Prayer List May 16, 2012

*Mark B. - Praises: for strength in serving Him (Mark was down with an amoeba infestation, and Wiwin is recovering from stomach problems); Spiritual growth in the life of the people we serve; Om Teu’s improving reading abilities. (She does her Bible homework diligently); The health insurance we both now have for this year. Special thanks to Mrs. Karen Pine for her assistance; Our new internet provider (which is faster, has better reliability, and is a couple dollars cheaper); The opportunity with an NGO to build wells in the community - they asked the church to help oversee the effort to keep things honest; The Easter service in Kpbaom; and for the children, teens and one mother who came from Prey Pdao. For some adults in Kpbaom who came for the preaching of His Word (especially Mr. Srong’s father who has been too sick to attend as his village is quite far).
Prayer Requests: We’ve been struggling with heat and digestive problems - please pray for our health; For the translation of the Westminster standards - we are still searching for a translation team & we have funds specified for the first printing; For the situation of Mr. Srong’s house. (It is so worm eaten and rotten it is unsafe); For the saints' needs in the villages; they are extremely poor; For some individuals who struggle to worship with us: Mrs. Kimsreng in Prey Pdao and Om Gy in Kpbaom. (Their husbands do not allow them to come; Om Gy’s husband threatens violence); For Mr. Srong in Kpbaom especially regarding his land (where the church building is) that he might regain his rightful certificate; for Om Teu’s son who is an alcoholic, and that her daughter, Chantou, will not be cheated; Om Yoeun and Om Srum requests prayer for their knee problems and Mrs. Sim (Dara’s mother) for chest problem; Om Soun (Mr. Srong’s mother) requests prayer for a team to set up a ministry at her house (20 minutes away by car). She and her husband helped found the Kpbaom church years ago but are too sick (old) to come often now.
